Since 1978 Taylor Group Constructions has been owned and managed by David Taylor and during our operation we have carried out projects across the Sydney Metropolitan area, Central Coast NSW and Regional NSW.
With a long standing marketplace presence we have had the opportunity to be involved in a diverse range of construction projects including retail developments, commercial interiors, data centre construction, civil and industrial construction, public works, contract project management and asset maintenance. We also offer a range of design, consultancy and advisory services.

David is the founding director of Taylor Group. His energy and drive has greatly contributed to the success and growth of the company. David and the Taylor Group team have a long and stable history of delivering quality projects including; commercial, data centre construction, industrial, retail re-development and heritage works. David’s capacity to plan, manage and deliver quality projects with tight construction programmes and difficult site conditions has enabled the company to achieve a reputation for specialist work. David’s current focus is to continue to develop the team’s unique skills and to deliver projects that always exceed client expectation. Recently, successful technology related projects including data centres demonstrate Taylor Group’s capacity and capability to manage and complete complex projects.
George Birdsall
Risk & Contract Manager

George has worked for 40 years in the construction industry. George has had a close association with Taylor Group since 1985 when he worked for a period of time on several successful projects in partnership with Taylor Group. Recently, George has re-joined the Taylor Group management team as the Risk and Contracts Manager. During his career, George has gained contract experience both as a client side superintendant and as a head contractor. Throughout his years of construction experience he has successfully negotiated, executed and administered contracts with a combined value in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
Andrew Taylor
Construction Manager

Andrew is the Construction Manager and has been part of the Taylor Group team for over 20 years. He is actively involved in Taylor Group’s estimating, project accounting and construction programming. With his attention to detail, communication skills and capacity for planning, Andrew will continue be an important part of the Taylor Group team.
Throughout his career Andrew has overseen a number of successful projects including the Heritage upgrade of the Ford Factory at Lidcombe and the retail re-development of St Clair Shopping Centre. More recently he has been involved in Technology projects such as construction of two data halls in an operational environment with a combined capacity of over 600 racks. Andrew worked closely with the client to implement change management procedures and high levels of sub-contractor monitoring / supervision due to the live environment.
Simon Taylor
Senior WHS Manager

Simon is a valuable member of Taylor Group management and has been part of the team for 20 years. His current role as Senior WH Manager includes managing and developing all aspects of the Taylor Group Constructions WHS, Quality Assurance and Environmental systems in conjunction with external consultants. Simon has also worked in the capacity of Project Manager.
Simon’s administration and management skills were clearly demonstrated in a recent project working in a live data centre involving a critical services upgrade. This operational environment required a dust free environment requiring custom made computer rack protection. Detailed planning and preparation went into the project which required much of the work to be performed after hours and within client change management protocols.
Chris Hanscombe
Site Manager

- Licensed Builder and Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
- Diploma of Policing
Chris currently works with Taylor Group as a Site Manager and has many years of experience in the commercial construction industry working for several large firms. Early in his career Chris gained added skills and experience when he was employed as a Senior Constable with the NSW Police Force.
Chris is an invaluable member of the Taylor Group team; he has strong leadership and supervision skills as well as excellent communication skills. He has been the Site Manager on a number of projects including retail re-development, commercial and industrial fit-outs. In his most recent project for Taylor Group he was responsible for overseeing daily site operations within a live data centre environment. The project included a client driven delivery time frame requiring a 24hr construction program. With over 60 construction personnel on site at times, Chris demonstrated an excellent ability to negotiate and correspond with client representatives, contractors and the design team. Recognising Chris's ability the client specifically requested his involvement on similar future projects undertaken by Taylor Group.
David Isaac
Services Engineer
David works with Taylor Group providing advice and technical expertise on our construction projects. He has more than 40 years’ experience in electrical systems design installation and commissioning for building services, heavy industrial installations and essential services systems including fire detection, smoke hazard management systems and warning systems.
- Registered Electrician, Licensed Electrical Contractor and Post Trade electrical engineering Certificates in Building Services and Heavy Industrial installations.
- Registered communications cabler for Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).
- Member of the Australian Standards Committee FP-002 – ‘Fire Detection, Warning, Control & Intercom Systems’.
- Member of Standards Sub-Committee ME-62 advising the committee on the electrical performance and compliance issues for AS 1668.1
